Systemic effect of globalization: insights on Lithuania and Poland

Abstract


Lithuania and Poland have been undergoing substantial changes in the last tventy five years. Democratic society and open market-led approaches have been applied along with the global integration aspirations. Both countries strongly engaged in the process of globalization. Identifiable trends taking place in politics, economics, culture and defence. But the question is do the globalization has clear fixed or determined address where countries should arrive. Are really the final result of globalization will be "The end of the nation-state" as it defined by hyperglobalists. In this paper we developing some systems theory based insights into the holistic process of globalization in order to reveal connections and coherence of the output of this system with the some of the environmental factors, considered as subsystems, in selected two geographically close countries: Lithuania and Poland.
